The Château des Vaux, in Eure et Loir, is home to the Fondation Apprentis d’Auteuil schools: a secondary school and two vocational high-schools
Although not classified as an historical monument, this site has all the architectural attributes.
The school restaurant needed a large-scale, totally customised acoustic treatment.
TESTIMONY
« The dining hall is designed to serve between 300 and 400 meals at lunchtime. The vaulted architecture and large volumes generate sound reverberation effects. The combination of tile-concrete-pannelling&cladding materials produced really big echoes.
It is essential for us to find solutions that preserve the historical character of the castle. We therefore compared several types of products during our research and the Martin company proposed the TEMPO products.
These custom-made panels allowed us to combine acoustics with a specific aesthetic choice. Moreover, as they have removable and washable covers, they are adapted to be close to kitchens where odours and possible fat traces can be generated
We are pleased with the result, which preserves the vaulted architecture without being overwhelming. We have already experienced an acoustic effect that will be fully effective in September with the return of the students. »M. Erwan FLOCH

TESTIMONY
« I discovered TEMPO at an exhibition. I thought of TEMPO for this very special project because even if the company DIGITEX is not my exclusive supplier, their skill in manufacturing very large panels was perfectly suited.
For the shape, I adjusted the curve to that of the ceiling. I used my usual calculations for quantities. For the installation, I used my experience.
The result is perfect. My client is very satisfied. He could do this job at a reasonable price and have the quality of custom-made products. »M. Joël DETOC
