Acoustic comfortIn the new council hall in the community of Mortagne (85), elected officials work under an impassive huge blue disk
Mr. Christophe RIGOLAGE, the architect, designed this big circle for two reasons. Firstly, he wanted to anchor the ring of tables around a strong element. The other, to meet the recommendations of a previous acoustic study, which demonstrated the reverberation of sound created by the glass walls of this large sparsely furnished room.
This remarkable panel was custom-made in our workshops and then assembled on site during the installation.
Proving this concept has been adopted by, the local elected representatives, it has been nicknamed “the flying saucer”!

“Even in its plenary conception, the acoustics of the Council Chamber allows conversations without a microphone. The monumental disc plays its role well. By the way, the first meeting of the Council in this new room was held without sound system.”
